Fredrix Gesso Ground (Dry Mix)

    This artist quality, pure ground gesso can be mixed by the artist.
    Two volumes Fredrix ground Gesso and one volume of water.
    This mix is recommended for use on rigid surfaces.
    It can be applied in thin even coats with a brush.
    Three to six coats are recommended, with a light sanding in between each coat.
    Gesso ground can also be blended with linseed oil in proportions by volume of 4 parts Gesso ground to one part linseed oil.
    This can be stored for several months in a tightly sealed container.
    Fredrix ground Gesso contains crushed marble, Titanium White pigment and animal glue.
