Golden Acrylic Gel Mediums

Golden Self-Leveling Clear Gel: is designed to produce an even film with excellent clarity. The gel has a unique resinous, stringy consistency resulting from the leveling property. This product dries to a flexible, high gloss film, which can increase the transparency and sheen, while imparting a leveling quality to other Golden Acrylic products. Blends with Golden Acrylic colors to produce glazes.

Golden Soft Gel (Gloss, Matte and Semi-Gloss): This gel is thinner than Golden Heavy Body Acrylic colours. Soft Gels hold only slight peaks, and are the recommended acrylic medium to serve as a glue for collaging. It is ideal for glazing and other techniques where transparency is desired. It is useful as a non-removable isolation coat, applied between the paint and varnish layers, but must be thinned with water, 2 parts Soft Gel Gloss to 1 part water.

Golden Regular Gel (Gloss, Matte and Semi-Gloss): holds moderate peaks and texture with the same creamy consistency as Golden Heavy Body Acrylic colors. It is ideal for extending paint and regulating translucency without changing the consistency of Heavy Body and Matte colors. The Regular Gel Gloss is ideal for glazing and other techniques where transparency is desired.

Golden Heavy Gel (Gloss, Matte and Semi-Gloss): has a thicker consistency than Golden Heavy Body Acrylic colors and dries to a translucent finish. It is ideal for thickening paints to achieve bolder peaks and textures.

Golden Extra Coarse Clear Granular Gel: is made from clear acrylic granular solids. It has excellent clarity and durability while offering the consistency of extra coarse pumice gel without disturbing the color.

Golden Extra Heavy Gel (Gloss, Matte and Semi-Gloss): is thicker in consistency than Golden Heavy Gel and dries to a translucent finish. It is the thickest among Goldens Gels and High Solid Gels. It is ideal for thickening paints to achieve strong peaks, textures and impasto techniques.

It offers a higher gloss, less shrinkage, high peaks and dries to the touch quicker than most Gels. Blend High Solid Gel with colors to give them the thick buttery consistancy of oils and increase retention of brush strokes.
